I was looking for a transportable multi tool for some time now. The Brompton Toolkit doesn’t offer the quality I was looking for, is too expensive for what you get and won’t fit together with the Brompfication Hinge Clamp Set I use. I’m happy with what I got now: The Nutter.
This tool, called “The Nutter”, has been designed by Mark Windsor a product designer from NZ. His company “Full Windsor” is working in east London now. The Nutter itself came to live after a successful kickstarter campaign.
The stylish leather pouch contains all the tools I need to fix my Brompton and it comes in a much higher quality then the (first release) Brompton Toolkit. I do like the look of the leather pouch.
Beside the tools for tightening and loosening bolts The Nutter adds a tire lever to my emergency package. The nylon/fiberglass bent and rounded tip at one end works fine I you need to get of your tire – a second one would help even more. But you can get the job done with one only.
A 15mm box head wrench fits perfectly on the rear axle nuts of the Brompton. A spoke wrench and a selection of interchangeable bits gives a perfect set for my needs on the road. The bits included are: 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8mm hex tools, a Philips head screwdriver, a flat head screwdriver, a T25 torque key and a magnetic tool bit extender. They can be kept in recycled inner tubes inside the leather carrying pouch.
The pouch comes with two straps that allow it to be mounted under the saddle. Oh – the most important thing: the Nutter also includes a built-in bottle opener. The 200 gram tool is available in burnt brown or jet black leather for £39.99 from http://full-windsorshop.com
